Our Story
Building Stronger Communities Through Care and Commitment
Ding-Ding Yiriwa Federation (DDYF) is a non-governmental, community-based organization established in 2017 and operating in Kombo North and South Districts of The Gambia. We exist to support children, youth, and families living in conditions of vulnerability, exclusion, and deprivation.
Since our establishment, DDYF has worked closely with communities and partners to promote child protection, youth empowerment, education, and community development. Through participatory approaches and strong local engagement, we help young people grow into confident, productive citizens who contribute positively to their communities.

Partnership with Child Fund
Ding Ding Yiriwa Federation (DDYF) located in Kombo south, district of West Coast Region and was legally established by means of Resolution NO. C4270 on May 4, 2017 of Ministry of Justice. Child Fund International and Local partners are referred to herein as “the parties “ Child Fund International is a Child-focused organization, whose mission is to help deprived, excluded and vulnerable children improve their lives and have the opportunity to become young adults, parents and leaders who bring lasting and positive change to their communities. Child Fund International seeks a long-term engagement with children and communities on one hand, and sponsors and donors on the other, and emphasis programs that result in healthy, educated and skilled children and youth, who are secure, confident and involved in their community. Child Fund International enters into partnership with organizations that wishes to be part of a network of organizations working locally, nationally and globally towards valuing, promoting and advancing the worth and right of children. Child Fund International and DDFY seeks to establish a collaborative relationship grounded in the principals of equity, transparency, accountability, mutual trust and respect to engage children, families and organizations to protect and promote the rights of children and youth and to develop Child-focused programs at scale that benefit children and youth, who experience deprivation, exclusion and vulnerability and who lack the essential opportunities necessary for healthy development.
